September 19 – North Fattoria Italiana Opens NoRTH Restaurant (at La Encantada) has had a makeover and will transform into North Fattoria Italiana. It’s still a Fox Concepts restaurant owned by Tucson’s golden boy Sam Fox. Fattoria means farm in Italian. I’m not sure about that word if people don’t know what it means. Think rustic, made from scratch, fresh. Stay tuned for a review. September 20-23 – Tucson Greek Festival Opa! Image via Wikipedia Tucson restaurant news Banana Bacon Donuts No, that is not a new Dunkin’ Donuts flavor. If you get the almost weekly email missives from Doug Levy at Feast, you’ll note that for the month of July banana bacon donuts are on the menu. I know I’m just going to have to have one because I love bananas and I love bacon, the latter which I so rarely eat. Also during the slow summer months, customers can request what goes on the menu — perhaps food from their childhood or recipes long lost. Every week along with the
