Denny’s 2 4 6 8

Image by Getty Images via @daylife Since I am in college, everything I do is on a budget. I am always looking for new deals, coupons and savings to conserve my limited budget. I don’t go out to eat that much because it gets expensive, but it every once in awhile I treat myself and enjoy a nice meal without the work of cooking. Yesterday, my boyfriend suggested going to Denny’s, a restaurant I haven’t been to in years. Usually when I treat myself, I go to unique restaurants with a cool theme or exotic food I can not cook

I’ll be home for Christmas…

Image by Eva Ganeshavia Flickr The past two weeks, I have been home for the holidays. It has been very nice to see everyone, but it also throws off my daily routine. Usually, I am in charge of everything, have a set busy schedule to follow, and barley have time for meals. Now that I am home, it is so different. I still have been working part time over break, but besides that, my break is pretty free. Most people who come home from breaks enjoy the time without preparing meals. Personally I miss cooking. Although I am super busy

Smokey Bones

Image via Wikipedia The past two days, my friends and I decided to make a trip down to Columbus for some fun shopping! My friend Amanda and I drove down there together, and we met 5 other people from the Columbus area. We went shopping at Easton and Polaris between the two days and it was a blast! On the first day, we were looking for a place to eat and it was overwhelming. There are so many restaurants in Columbus and having 7 girls all agree on one place gets very difficult. One of my friends really wanted sushi,

Hold the garni: parsley, alfalfa sprouts, cilantro food recall

Cilantro is not exactly garni. Cilantro is often used in the condiment — salsa but parsley is put on the plate for color  and alfalfa sprouts are often added to the plate (maybe to make it look fuller) or worse to the sandwich. I usually remove. Alfalfa sprouts get in the crevices of my teeth. That’s probably more than you wanted to know. Cilantro and parsley are being recalled because of possible salmonella invasion. The Texas distributor is recalling 7,000 cases of parsley and cilantro because salmonella was found in Canada and Michigan. This recall affects Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri,

Tucson: Best eats and drinks + 2 in Southern Calif.

Image via Wikipedia Practically everyone has a “best of” list for 2010 year end. Well, so does Circle of Food. However, my list is Tucson-laden with a nod to two So. Cal. favorites. Best caterer – Zivaz I only catered once this year but was very impressed with Zivaz’ service, chilaquiles , and kabobs and so were my guests. Best setting to impress out of town guests –Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain Go at sunset to watch the mixologist masterfully infuse herbs with spirits. The scenery is truly spectacular as you look out toward the mountains dotted with sparkling lights.
