Tucson Community Fundraiser: Isaac Thomas, Pastry Chef

Issac Thomas, Pastry Chef Tucson

Fundraising Bake Sale

from the press release

Tucson, AZ (July 15, 2015) – Those who work at Hotel Congress and Maynards Market & Kitchen consider themselves a family and when one of its members is in need they mobilize. That’s exactly what they did when they learned their Pastry Chef at Maynards Market & Kitchen was in a horrific car accident while he and his family were traveling to California, covered in a story by Fox 10 Phoenix.

Luckily his partner and son walked away relatively unharmed, while Isaac was seriously injured and has received specialized surgeries for his hands, arms, legs, and head. To help defray some of the costs of the medical bills and leave from work, Hotel Congress is hosting a fundraising bake sale and concert this Thursday, July 16 in their lobby and Club Congress.

Janos Wilder, Beyond Bread, Diablo Burger, and 47 Scott are just some of the contributors of baked goods for the sale, but a real cherry on top is local legend and Cup Café Baker-Extraordinaire Bill Roberts is coming out of retirement to raffle off some of his famous blueberry pies for the cause.

Isaac and his family look forward to meeting everyone and thanking them for their prayers and positive thoughts at the concert as well as having the opportunity to see all his friends from work.
