Tucson food events bloom in September with cooking classes, greyt bites, food trucks, green chile, beer, and an early St. Patrick’s Day.

September 11 – Master Chef Classes begin
Meet the chefs from Kingfisher/Bluefin, Dakota Café, PY Steakhouse, Tavolino, Pastiche, and Delectables. More info

September 11 – Greyt Bites Fundraiser
Fundraiser for Southern Arizona Greyhound Adoption at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery from 3 to 8 p.m.; 15% of food sales donated to organization with transitions greyhounds from track to forever homes. Location: 5510 E. Broadway Blvd @ Craycroft; must download flyer and give to the server in order for greyhounds to benefit.

September 13 – Food Truck Roundup
Gather your diversified appetites from 5 to 8 p.m. at Savers parking lot located at 5845 E. Broadway Blvd across from Park Place Mall. For a list of food trucks, click here.

September 15 – Cooking with the Chef
Chef Albert Hall from Acacia cooks up a Mediterranean feast along with pro-basketball star Joseph Blair by his side. You know this is going to be a guy thing. Adult beverages served. $55/pp. Reservations required. More info

September 15 – Roasted Chili Festival
Join in the 11th Annual Roasted Chile Festival at the Rincon Valley Farmers & Artisans Market in Tucson, AZ.  Enjoy fresh roasted Arizona grown green chilies, chile ristras, locally grown pesticide-free and organic fresh produce and fruit, artisans, great food, kid’s activities and games, live music, pet vaccinations, and a beer garden from 9 am to 3 pm.

The Rincon Valley Farmers & Artisans Market is located in the scenic Rincon Valley between Saguaro National Park Rincon Mountain District and Colossal Cave Mountain Park; located about four miles east of the entrance to Saguaro National Park East along Old Spanish Trail and two miles west of Camino Loma Alta in and around the big historic green and white barn.

September 15 – Tucson’s Beer Cup
This is such a clever event for beer lovers and local breweries. You can check out the specifics here from at our friends, the Zocalo magazine.

September 17 – Paddy’s Irish Pub/one day only
If you cannot wait until March 17, the real St. Patrick’s Day celebration, celebrate now at Paddy’s Irish Pub from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Pastiche Modern Eatery. This seems to be a semi yearly tradition. You’ll have to ask Pat if there is green beer and corned beef & cabbage. Erin Go Braugh! (whatever that means?)
