FAT TUESDAY CELEBRATIONS
–Kingfisher & Bluefin
Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) festivities will take place this year on Tuesday, February 17th at Kingfisher Bar & Grill and Bluefin Seafood Bistro . The holiday, which has been celebrated at Kingfisher for 21 years at Kingfisher and for 10 years at Bluefin, commemorates the events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after the Epiphany or King’s Day and culminating on Lent. Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, is celebrated by the joyful eating of classic rich dishes of the region before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins the following day, Ash Wednesday.

Both restaurants will feature classic N’awlins dishes on an a la carte menu as well as traditional Mardi Gras cocktails like Hurricanes and Sazaracs along with Dixie Lager and Abita Turbodog, two Louisiana beers.

In keeping with another Mardi Gras tradition, guests who order the King Cake for dessert and find a the baby in the cake will win a special Fat Tuesday t-shirt.
