Tucson Hunger Walk Fundraiser – September 17, 2016

sidebar-thumbsup-hungerwalkTucson is an altruistic city which is good because the need is great to feed people in need.

Not only are three Arizona-owned restaurants participating in a month-long No Kid Hungry campaign but the Community Food Bank is hosting its signature Hunger Walk with the goal of raising $205,000. So far, $148,000 has been raised! The money raised for the Hunger Walk stays here at the Tucson Community Food Bank and will go directly to all the hunger assistance programs.

Did you know $1 = 4 meals?

There will be two different locations for Hunger Walks – at  Kino Sports Complex and in Green Valley at La Posada. Take your pick. For the latter, pets are allowed.

If you go to the Country Club location, you will also get a tour of the nearby Community Food Bank.

And if you can’t walk, you can contribute virtually.

Here’s the perfect activity for coworkers, sororities, church groups and families to make a difference as well as get some Saturday morning exercise.
