What beer pairs with Thin Mints?

Now there’s a novel combo. And why not?

This Sunday, February 8th, join Tucson Girls Pint Out for a fun craft beer and cookie pairing tasting at Tap & Bottle, 403 N 6th Ave, Tucson, Arizona 85705 form 3 to 6 PM

“Girls Pint Stout”, the Russian imperial stout brewed by Barrio Brewing Co. and Tucson Girls’ Pint Out , will be on tap with Randall of delicious cookie ingredients! The other three cookies will be paired with beers from Joseph James Brewing Co., Inc., Elevation Beer Company, and Heretic Brewing Company.

Local Girl Scouts will be nearby for your convenient cookie purchasing pleasure if you’d like to take a box or three home after the event. Cookie sales end March 1 so stock up; the Thin Mints freeze well.

Circle of Food (a former Girl Scout) has already eaten 3/4 of a box of Thin Mints and an entire box of the oatmeal with raisins and chunks of Greek yogurt. Healthy? Right?

By the way, what do you think are the top selling Girl Scout cookies? According to their website:
The top sellers are (percentage of total 2011–12 sales):
• Thin Mints (25 percent)
• Samoas/Caramel deLites (19 percent)
• Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs (13 percent)
• Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos (11 percent)
• Shortbread/Trefoils (9 percent)

The other varieties, combined, account for the remaining 23 percent.
