And while we’re at it, $1.9 billion is spent on flowers. Consumers (that’s you) will spend an average of $168.94 on their moms on Mother’s Day. Flowers, clothes, jewelry, spa services, books, electronics, dinner…add up to $20.7 billion in spending in one day!

Tucson Pops Concert
The Spring series of “Music Under the Stars” begins on Mother’s Day. This marks the opening of the 61st spring season of Tucson Pops free Concerts in the Park. The Orchestra is under the direction of Maestro László Veres. You are invited to enjoy “Music under the Stars™” at the DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, in Reid Park, on Sunday evenings beginning at 7 PM from May 10 – May 31.

Look for the weekly “Food Truck Roundup” at each Pops Concert featuring a variety of Tucson’s best food trucks providing attendees with outstanding picnic fare. Participating vendors will be listed on the website.
