Where Local and Global Appetites Collide

Pull up a chair and let’s tap dance on the table.

Let’s talk about all things food and drink – what’s hot, what we crave, where events are happening, food recalls/food safety, reviews – good/bad/you’ve got to be joking and more. Circle of Food began as a healthy food blog but while health certain has its importance; the updated, redesigned mobile-friendly blog mixes it up with more ingredients for an orbiting buffet of posts and new features appealing to hungry Tucson and beyond.

About the writer

Karyn Zoldan launched her passion for food writing in the 80s at the Downtown News in L.A. She’s written for numerous local and national publications on a litany of topics and conceived the now defunct, “Noshing Around” column for Tucson Weekly. Last year she was the Tucson dining contributor to the Arizona Foothills Magazine online. Favorite foodie moments include co-hosting On the Menu Live with Matt Russell, interviewed by Steve Goldstein on KJZZ’s The Show (91.5/Phoenix), attending tequila-inspired tasting dinners at the Flying V and judging the World Margarita Championship and Taste of Chocolate events. (Okay, so there’s a theme here.)

When not dancing with verbs and herbs, she has mostly removed her search-engine-optimization-content writing chapeau in lieu of volunteerism for local animal rescues, issues and events. Karyn is one of a half dozen women who create and promote beautiful one-of-kind bracelets under the not-for-profit Beading Divas to the Rescue fundraising umbrella. She also lovingly hosts A Tucson Tail, pampered in-home dog boarding as a DogVacay contractor.
